Answers at Last!

Everyone has been so patient with my inability to come up with answers to the last few questions I've still got to answer, but I'm slowly plugging away at them.  The television one is hard because I watch so little television, and the book one is hard because I read WAY too many books and have to much to pick from!

I finally figured out a movie though, an odd one, but a movie nonetheless :)

So AubrieAnne's question was:

If you could take the place of any one actor or actress in a movie who would it be?

I toyed with G.I. Jane because that's so something I would do.  Tell me I can't do something and I damn sure will.  Some how, some way.  In the end though, I really really don't like Demi Moore so I couldn't get past that to really get anywhere.

I'm going to take you back a long way now, so all you youngun's hang with me.  Back in 2000, Julia Roberts did a movie called Erin Brockovitch, in my opinion one of the deepest roles she's ever played.  Apparently, others agreed because she won quite a few awards for the performance.  It's also a real story, and the real Erin Brockovitch had a cameo role in the movie as a waitress, ironically named Julia.

Anyway, I won't bore you with details, but it says something that a movie made ten years ago is still so fresh in my mind.  That is why I picked this one particularly.

I won't tell you a whole lot about the movie, in case some of you who have never seen it decide you'd like to, but the reason I've chosen it is because it's a case where someone society would normally overlook takes on more than everyone thinks she can handle and actually makes a huge impact in a lot of lives.  I admire the stubborn tenacity, the desire to make a difference, to change the world, even if it's a little at a time.

No one expects the "little people" to succeed and this is a beautiful example of one of them doing just that, and in the doing accomplishes more than anyone, probably even she, thought possible.

That's the kind of life I'd like to live.  The kind of person I want to be.  And there's your answer!

Now I'm going back to sleep!  It's way too damn early for ME to be awake and blogging!

Thanks again to AubrieAnne for the great questions, I'll take another tomorrow and I think that's her last one, then I can get to Eschelle's and unless anyone else wants to pipe up with more questions, I'm done!  Yay!  I've had a lot of fun doing this, even though AubrieAnne answered her questions a lot faster!

Until later, toodles!
