It's That Time - Or Past That Time Actually....

Okay, so I had good intentions.  I really did.  I started looking for guest posters for this week, oh about a month?  Month and a half ago?  I made my list, and asked around some, and now here it is, two days before the deed and what have I done?  Nothing.  Mostly.

So this is what I've come up with so far.  Since my bestie doesn't get into town until the 3rd actually, I'm starting my Thirty Days of Truth posts today, and I'll catch them up when my bestie goes back home to New York.

From the 3rd until, the 9th, I'll be having guest posters if the lovelies who volunteered are still up for it.

I would like to just add you guys as authors then you can post whenever or however you'd like, so I hope that's okay, but here is what I've got so far.

January 3

AubrieAnne posting at Refusing to Grow Old Gracefully
Lindsay posting at Write Now Write Later

January 4

Eschelle posting at Refusing to Grow Old Gracefully (Let me know if you want to write here too!)
Bryan posting at Write Now Write Later

January 5

Katie posting at Write Now Write Later

January 6

No. 7 (One or both?)

January 7

AubrieAnne posting at Write Now Write Later
Hubs posting on Refusing to Grow Old Gracefully (HA!)

January 8

Hubs posting at Write Now Write Later
Bryan posting at Refusing to Grow Old Gracefully

January 9

Sarah posting at Write Now Write Later
Katie posting at Refusing to Grow Old Gracefully

As you can see, depending on if these ladies prefer to post on one blog or both, I've got some room here for other writers and one whole day that isn't claimed.

I'm so sorry for procrastinating and just now posting this, I honestly meant to do it earlier, but well, that's me.  Chronically late.  I've got e-mails for Lindsay and Eschelle, so if the rest of you guys could e-mail me at djpr[at]comcast[dot]net and give me your email to add you to the author list, it would be ever so much appreciated!  Since I'm HORRID about checking my e-mail, put "Guest Post" in the subject line so I can just scroll through and find it if you don't mind!

I'm excited about this, and I hope you guys are too!  I'll be sticking close to home today, cleaning for my visit, so leave a comment and let me know if you're still with me and if you prefer one or both blogs so I can finalize the schedule!  You guys are the bestest!

OH OH OH and since I've added more new people lately and -insert cheering crowd here- have over 100 followers now, anyone else who would like to guest post for me, please leave me a comment, I'd love to have you!  No rules, no themes, just whatever makes you happy!

Thanks again!

I'm confused about how guest posting works, and I'm too confused to say exactly what it is I'm confused about. Do you give them a topic or theme, or do they just have a heyday all over your blog? Do they put on a fake mustache, deepen their voice, and try to imitate the blogger, or do they have a secret pocket in their back that the blogger can reach into an operate their mouth like a mannequin? Am I drastically over-thinking this whole thing?

Well I'd say with most people there are rules or themes or what have you, but this is me we're talking about so it's pretty much a free for all.

I think the neat thing about having guest posters is giving them the ability to write about whatever they might want, but the confusing part is kinda there too, because all blogs have some kind of theme, even if it's a random one, which mine really are even though I've tried to focus them a bit.

I have to admit though I'm really terribly intrigued at the thought of YOU posting on my other blog. Call me a sadist but that'd be funny as hell. This one would be lovely although not as terribly ironic. But hey I've got a rather "interesting" sense of humor.

So whatcha say? You wanna put on fake boobs and a wig and pretend to be me for a day? Oh and um, pics or it didn't happen.

By the way, where do get some of these great images, if you don't mind my asking? I especially liked the one with the typewriter sitting on the rock, as I'm a big fan of old typewriters.

I'm always looking for new sites to get images from.

I would love to guest post! Not sure about what though. Maybe the reason I'm in year 6 of college? Or the fact that I'm 24 and wouldn't recognize a flirtation if it hit me with an H-bomb? Or how I'm the oldest of 3 kids but not the personality type determined from research (i.e., the oldest is the leader, outgoing, etc.)? If you have other ideas, let me know. I'm a writer, so I would prefer to guest post on Write Now Write Later.

Sure. Tell me what I need to do. I don't know about the fake boobs, but I could certainly use a head of hair.

@Sarah Hey the more the merrier! I'll add you to the schedule for 9th on this blog if that's okay? I'll add you to the list of authors for the site, so my blog will show up on your blog list and you just click on new post and write away. There are no themes, so whatever you want to write about is fine by me. My e-mail is djpr[at]comcast[dot]net and just put "Guest Post" in the e-mail so I'll see it since I get WAY too much spam. Thanks so much!

@NH Yay! So did you want to amuse me further by posting on my other blog or play it safe and post here or get brave and do both? Shoot me an e-mail and give me yours so I can add you to the authors list and then you can look at the schedule and pick a day, pretty sure the people listed so far would be okay with posting on just one of them anyway.

As for the pictures, I'm an image whore. Yes, I admit it. I've got folders and folders of pictures I've gathered from everywhere. Deviant Art is a great place if you don't mind wading through some bad stuff to find good stuff. A lot of the images there are under copyright protection too. Obviously Google, Yahoo and Photobucket are used a lot too. There are a few others I'll have to check my bookmarks tab to remember and will let you know.

I tried sending an email twice and kept getting this message "Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:" followed by a lot of gibberish. "Failed permently"? Why do they have to sound so dire?

Anyway, maybe I'm sending it to the wrong email. Drop me a line at nuclearheadache@gmail.com, and I'll reply with the message I was going to send. We'll beat this damn internet, yet.

I'm laughing, seriously! Sent mail so you if you don't get it soon, well we do have problems and we might have resort to twittering which sounds a little risque to be quite honest.

I would love to write a guest post on your blog! Just let me know if any days are available. Hugs

@No. 7 - I sent you an email, hope you got it! I'm trying to get everything squared away today!

@DZ Awww, it won't be long sweetie!

@Heather - I will definitely let you know, I've got a couple of people I'm waiting to hear back from which would fill up the dates, but if something falls through, you're next on the list. I'm sure I'll be doing this again before too terribly long too it's just too much fun not to!
