If Your Kids Won't Have Christmas - Read This Please.

I'm being needy today.  Seriously.

Please read my previous post before you comment here.  It's important to me.

So many of you are having financial problems this year, and I'm having one of those days when it's really hard to reconcile my inability to do anything to help.  So, I've come up with a plan.  It's not much, but maybe it'll bring some smiles.

I'm a pretty creative person and I simply adore being able to help people, so this is what I propose.

For any of you Moms who are feeling the pinch of the economy and are being forced to sacrifice gifts for your kids this Christmas, I'll design, write and mail to you a "Letter from Santa" personalized with your children's names, and some other stuffs to maybe make their Christmas a little brighter.

This is a spur of the moment decision, so I'll have to get rolling on it, but I've got some stationary here, and it won't take long to pull it together.  I'll need to get the information from you pretty quickly to ensure that it gets there on time.  If you're a person who would rather not give a complete stranger your address and such, I'll take the first name of your children only, some little detail about them, like "the time they helped their mom dry dishes" and e-mail it to you to print off and put in your mailbox yourself.

My mind is whirling so I'm sure there are other details that need to be worked out, but I really would love to do something to help you guys struggling and this is what I came up with.

If you're interested e-mail me at djpr[at]comcast[dot]net with the subject Santa Letter and we'll work out the deets in private.

That is absolutely a WONDERFUL idea, Donna! And you will bring SO MANY smiles to faces of little children, and touch them to their very core.

Time and your heart. What more can ANYONE ask for in someone?

Thanks so much everyone. I've got one letter down, I hope it will be okay! I feel so much better just knowing that I'm doing something, and you guys are the best!

@NBM Email me and give me some information about your kids, names, ages, something special they've done this year to make them good, and anything special that Santa will be bringing them, and I'll e-mail you a draft and we can work out the details.

Thanks again everyone, I'm glad this is working out, I'm super excited!
